On July XX, 2006, construction begin to renovate the 2nd, 4th, and 5th floors of the Research building on the Portland campus. Accordingly, the RCG employees who occupied the 2nd floor of the research building were relocated to the Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI). The GMRI facility is located at 350 Commercial Street, Portland, Maine. The RCG Data Center, also located on the 2nd floor of the research building will remain operational during construction.

During the construction period, NO RCG employee shall enter any construction area (including the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th floors of the Science building) without written permission from the Director, Research Computing Group, and being accompanied by the Director, Research Administrative, or the Director, Research Computing Group, or their designee.

The RCG Rendering Services Team has been relocated to the Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI). However, requests for poster printing or poster fabrication services shall not change during the construction period (July to October 2006). During the construction of the second floor of the Research Building, the following policy will apply:

Poster submission will be submitted in the usual manner through the RCG Rendering Service website utilizing the upload form at: http://rendering.iris.usm.maine.edu/printing/index.stm

Please allow a minimum of 3 full business days for printing. If in the rare instance poster printing should extend beyond three days, an email will be sent to you stating when your poster will be ready.

Once you submit your poster please be sure to check the email listed with the poster several times that day for updated information. Should you have any questions about your poster once it is submitted, the Rendering Lab staff can be reached at: usmrenderinglab@gmail.com

Poster pick up will be arranged on an individual basis due to the relocation of the Rendering Service Team to the GMRI. The GMRI is located at: 350 Commercial Street. Please check your email for the date and time for your pick up. If there is a schedule conflict, please send an email stating a time and day for pick up. This email will also include:

  • An IDO for you to complete and bring with you when you pick up your poster, or
  • Cash bill for cash payment
